Integrating Mindfulness to Build Resilience: This 2-day training is designed to offer those that work with adolescents (psychologists, therapists, physicians, social workers, educators, and healing arts professionals) a way to integrate mindfulness into therapeutic and educational settings.
We will explore how mindfulness can enhance our own personal growth, reduce the risk for conditions such as empathy fatigue, vicarious traumatization and burnout while increasing emotional resilience. Participants will learn methods to teach and share mindfulness in the continuum of trauma-informed care with clients and students and examine case studies where mindfulness has been the primary intervention.

MBSR for Teens
Getting in The Zone is based upon the adult MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) program, founded by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn.
Teenagers often experience so many pressures,- from friends, parents, teachers and society. Getting in The Zone creates a space to gain some perspective on these pressures and tangible tools that can be used in school and in life.
Inner Resources MBSR for Teens Details:
- 8-week program for 1.5 hours per week.
- Half-Day retreat is required, 2/3 of the way through the program.
- One private session, as requested, with instructor to create a stress-buster toolkit, specific to the student’s need.
- 22 hours of Teaching.
- Meditation CD, Student Workbook, copy of book “Just Say Om” and Practice Mat included.
- Healthy snacks will be available.
Sundays, March 12th – May 7th, from 2pm – 3:30pm
Half-day Retreat will be chosen at the first session, based on participant’s schedule.
$400/session, inclusive of all materials and retreat.
